DJ Afrika Bambaataa |
Hip Hop is a form of musical expression which has developed out of African-American communities during the 1970’s in
New York City, America. There are many aspects surrounding Hip Hop culture which are MCing, DJing, beat boxing, break dancing and graffiti writing, all of which were stated to be the four pillars of hip hop culture by DJ Afrika Bambaataa. Hip Hop is now a wisely recognised form of music across the globe which is enjoyed and created by people of all races, cultures and backgrounds.Originally Hip Hop was made with the use of disc jockeys creating a rhythm with looping breaks; this was soon accompanied by a rhythmic style of poetry or chanting in 16 bar measurements in sync with the rhythm known as rap along with beat boxing, used to imitate the various technical elements of a Hip Hop DJ. These elements have been significantly developed and been refined over time to create Hip Hop as it known to so many of us today. These days artists such as Little Wayne and Jay Z are famous Hip hop artist.
